THE DRINK KINDLY COALITION

DECIDE YOUR WHY

Set an intention before you drink. Know why you’re drinking and what kind of night you want.

RADIATE AND BE YOU

Creating safe spaces starts with authenticity. Show up as your full self. Your presence — kind, real, and grounded — is powerful.

IDENTIFY WHEN SOMEONE IS HAVING A HARD MOMENT

Take in those around you. If someone seems off or not ok, assume positive intent and check in with care. Use language that calls in, instead of out.

NOTICE ONE ANOTHER

Be mindful of space — physical and emotional. Bars and breweries get crowded. Notice how much room you're taking up

KEEP KIND AND CARRY ON

Grab someone water, walk them to a ride-share, or get a staff member involved. We all play a role in keeping each other safe — and that’s what kindness looks like.

We all have the power to create spaces and that is especially true when we are engaging in social moments. Our actions are the reason a space can become one of safety, acceptance and inclusion. Through D.R.I.N.K, we empower you to be that safe space

By using C.H.E.E.R, you can help create a space that is welcoming, fun, and exciting for everyone involved. Every cheer we choose shapes the experience for everyone around us, so go out there and C.H.E.E.R Kindly!

CARE FOR OTHERS: Be mindful of those around you, offering support and kindness to staff, fans and players.

HELP SOMEONE HAVING A HARD MOMENT: Whether it is getting someone some water, helping them find their way or getting help from staff, we can all show up for one another if something feels off.

ENGAGE KINDLY: Focus on positive cheers and encouragement, uplifting the team and creating a supportive atmosphere.

EMPATHIZE WITH OTHERS: We are all here to enjoy the game and give our teams the energy they need to pull off a win. Keep that in mind during tense moments, leaning into understanding over judgement.

REMEMBER WE ARE ALL DOING OUR BEST: Assume positive intent, and use supportive language like “this was a hard loss” or “yeah I am bummed too” to build community with others. Even in moments of frustration, we are rarely intentionally trying to cause harm. We usually just need a place to put our feelings.
